Engineering Health & Safety workbook

This Engineering Health and safety resource is the perfect introduction to working safely in the workshop! This resource includes information on H&S Signage and general rules before looking at the safety rules for using hand tools and processes in the Engineering workshop, such as cutting/shaping tools and the pillar drill.

The download includes two versions for differentiation: one where the booklet is prefilled with information and one blank where students can research and fill in as a task.

The teacher or student can sign off each process and activity to clarify and confirm understanding of health and safety procedures. The resource also allows D&T teachers to monitor and track students’ H&S progress.

It is equally suited for Y7 students or students embarking on their first practical experiences in the workshop.

Also included are blank documents for processes such as the Spot Welder or practical activities suited to individual department needs.
